I love the idea of a Japanese garden

as they can be found at city parks, at Buddhist temples or Shinto shrines and at historical landmarks, also at private homes in your neighborhood. Most of the famous japanese gardens in the western culture, and within Japan as well, are dry gardens or rock gardens. My husband loves outside fish ponds. When we decided to build our own pond in our backyard, we considered several possibilities. I suggested a Japanese garden with a pond. My husband was enthusiastically about that. I made a sketch of an oriental scenery with a full pond with Koi fish in it. He agreed reluctantly to the design, and we agreed to work on it.

The first task was to dig a deduction ditch for the pond for our Japanese garden. After we weeded the area and made a big deduction ditch, we went to our local house and garden store and bought a plastic pond form. This had a black colour and help in the protection of the fish of it black to be subjected to the bottom, and cement materials which are often used.

We brought our pond form home and began to dig out the outlines of the form in our deduction ditch. We completed the ditch and inserted the pond form. We were good on our way to have a fish pond with a Japanese garden subject. I began to collect the desired plants to give an oriental style to the garden.

I was to be found in the state, several types by pipes and short fountain pen plants for the Japanese garden. I chose stones in a brownish orange colour for the grtnerisch forming project. We went down to a river in our region and collected several level rock stones. We put the level stones around the edge of the pond and paid attention that we allowed to hang them about the pond form.

The task to decorate the Japanese garden came as the next. I noted that with a real Japanese garden, less more is. I decided to limit myself to one plant and two statues. I chose a small Dojo house and an oriental statue which should symbolise rest. I found this online. I convinced myself to let a lot of space between the different decorative elements.

On looking through our strains I thought that something was missing. I required a bonsai tree, but I knew that he would never grow in our climate. I found a phoney bonsai tree which looked realistic remarkably.

The bonsai tree was the perfect addition to the scene, and it really fitted everything. We filled the pond with water and let it set up for a week. We added, in the end, some small Koi fish. The fish pond gave absolutely clarify Japanese garden.
