Your basic equipment on bonsai tools
This article was written by John. Many thanks for visiting bonsai care. I hope that this article has supplied to you valuable information.
Recommended bonsai tool equipment
To start growing bonsai you need only a few tools. However, with the right tools you can do many operations and tasks lighter, better and faster. There are tools already for some dollars, however, some could cost a few hundred dollars also. As with all other things good quality also has here its price. The choice is gigantic. There are tools in all qualities and price positions. Put value on quality and buy to yourself the best tools which you can afford. Be sure, You never will regret it later and if treat carefully you will have in it your joy for long, long time.
There are, actually, only three tools which should belong from the outset to the basic equipment to form a bonsai from a small tree.
You require a pair of scissors with which you can do the fine work. These scissors should be always sharp, and you should use them exclusively for the work on the bonsai. If you start, attempt it first with a small sentence of pruning shears. The pruning shears which were conceived especially for the work on the bonsai are also recommendable.
Probably the most important tools for bonsai shaping are knives with a concave edge. With concave cutters it is possible to cut off branches of the tree and to leave behind a concave wound. A concave wound heals much faster than a smooth one. Also such a cut hardens much better and you must look later already very exactly to recognise that generally a cut was done. Cutters with a concave edge are an essential component of your bonsai tool equipment.
A few wire cutters are also advisable, although these must not be bought immediately at the beginning. If you work with wire, you will have to remove this also again. With wire cutters you can cut the wire directly up to bark of the tree without injuring the bonsai tree. It is also a bonsai tool which is necessary.
If you want to work with wire, you will also need wires in passed away strengths. Generally anodized copper wire is recommended. This is very adaptable, hence, can be bent easily and holds well its position, after attaching it. Wire is used with pleasure to put branches and to train.
Once you become more intensely with the bonsai shaping, there are still some bonsai tools which should belong to your equipment. These bonsai tools make easier many tasks and allow to you to apply also advanced bonsai technologies. An article about these bonsai tools we want to publish in the future.
